Tiny House Update 2021

We have been living in this house for 2 years. We also experienced very cold temperature in Feb 2021, it was like -15 in the night, we survived!! Since we have our fresh water tank in the house, grey water tank is also in the house, we do not have much problem with the freeze at outside, as long the water station at the campsite has no problem.

We also experienced over voltage from the main electric supply of the campsite, some of our electric appliances damaged, so we have replaced them. We got a new electric stove and dehumidifier with better quality and less noise, which is not that bad 🙂

Finally!

After 4 weeks since we moved out from our flat, we were kind of “homeless” staying here and there in Berlin. Finally we received our house on last Tuesday, we were super excited and happy. The driver drove the house for 9 hours from Regensburg to us, he spend a night beside the field in the truck. The unloading of the house looked simple but actually we have spent 2 hours to unload the house. Thanks Tino and Thomas who helped us a lot for the unloading.

Where is the house?

It is still in Regensburg. 2 Weeks ago, we brought the house to the transport company and we expected that we would receive the house on the 7th Nov. Unfortunately, the transport company told us that they are still waiting an letter which allows them to drive the house on road. So we expected that it may happen in this week but it did not. We have been staying here and there like nomads these days in Berlin as we are actually prepared to move in to the tiny house. Things just go the way that out of our plan, what we can do now is just wait 😦

Picture 1 & 2 is from 2 weeks ago when we brought the house to the transport company. The other pictures are from Alex which they loaded the house on truck.

Finger crossed. We really hope to receive the house next week.

Week 18

This week, we finished the last step of the staircase and also installed the sliding door system 🙂

I design a logo and name card for Alex, it looks so beautiful on this brown card.

Week 17.3 – Exhibiton

Alex had a little wish that we can exhibit the house in the city center. We were so worry a day before about the move of the house, as we were not sure about the weight and so on. We are glad that everything went smoothly and we brought back the house to the workshop safely. huuu….

There were a lot of curious people, some think that the house is very cool, some think that it is a house only for holiday, some think that this is a house for 1 person or just for student, some think that this is the future for people to afford a house and etc. Most of them they concern about the size of the house, the planning permission (Baugenehmigung), how much does it cost and the most important question is where to put it.

What I know that in Germany, if you place the house on the camping place or tiny house village, you do not need planning permission for the house but you need to register the trailer to get a car plate and TÜV (not more than 4m high, 2.5m wide and 3.5 tons) then you are able to tow it. If you want to put at someone else garden, you need to get planning permission.
